Project 1: Tackling loneliness amongst Older Adults in the UK.
As a part of this project, we are offering a variety of resources for older adults who feel overwhelmed by using modern technology. We offer a service which produces customised information booklets explaining how a piece of technology works, and posting them directly to peoples homes free of charge. As a part of the video portion of this project we will be speaking to professionals in the area, as well as obtaining first hand stories of loneliness and social & digital exclusion with a diverse range of interviewees from different backgrounds.
There are many reasons as to why you may feel lonely as you grow older, and this project aims to identify the main ones. If you, or anyone you know would benefit from an information pack, email infopacks@rsrchuk.co.uk your name, address and situation and we will send you the information you need, with a step, by step walkthrough.
We will be hosting a series of coffee mornings in youth centres, cafes and halls within the UK this summer for individuals who may feel lonely and details of these events will made available as we get closer to the dates.
If you would like to be a part of this project, either through interviews or volunteering at one of our coffee mornings, please contact us on enquiry@rsrchuk.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible with more information on the project.
